Civilization is a long-term documentary photography project developed through sustained fieldwork and direct engagement with communities across different regions of the world. The work explores the persistence of historically rooted ways of life within contemporary environments undergoing transformation.

The project is built over time through research, repeated stays, and collaboration with local intermediaries. This approach requires independence and a structure that allows for long-term observation rather than short production cycles.

Supporting Civilization contributes directly to the continuity of this work: return visits to existing field sites, research and preparation phases, and the development of a coherent photographic body of work built on trust and proximity. Support does not influence editorial choices, which remain fully independent.
